We have syndicated your listing to all of the major national real estate sites plus the sites of all of the Realtors that serve your area. The next step is your first open house.
Here are a few notes to help make your open house successful:
We typically arrive about 10 to 15 minutes before most open houses.
If we have not placed a sign yet and there are no rules against one, we usually place a sign in the yard when we arrive for the first open house.
We will typically stay 15 to 30 minutes after most open houses to accommodate anyone that might be running behind.
To help you have a successful open house, we have prepared the following list for you:
– open some windows to let fresh air circulate throughout the house and emptying any open trash containers
– we recommend removing prescription drugs from the medicine cabinets or any visible shelves
– remember to place all laptops, jewelry and personal items in secure places
– leave all of your lights on and toilet seats down
– only clean towels should be visible in the kitchen and bathroom(s)
– all uncovered trash cans should be empty with no apparent plastic liners
– remove pets from the property unless we have agreed otherwise
– if you have a cat, empty the litter box and add new kitty litter
– all stairs should be free of any shoes, etc.
– please walk around the outside of your house and pick up any litter on your property and the surrounding curbs, including in front of your neighbor’s homes next door and across the street
– do not cook anything that would leave a an odor in the house
When we are ready to leave your house, we will call you to let you know that the coast is clear. That could be as much as 30 minutes after the end of the open house.
